....considering it's almost 10:30 AM...why...I didn't work too HARD on beating out anyone...lol :o:D
Okay.....I'm up and pleased that I'm steadily 'losing' ~ you know ~ that returned weight that whisks itself away the moment you even THINK no carbs! GOD I LOVE THAT! :D How low it will go before it settles down to the HARD STUFF...well, we never know. Till then, it's FUN! :D
This morning, made up a lovely brekkie of scrambled eggs and cheese..and while cooking that, in short order I 'fried up' a stack of thicked sliced bolonga that I've been meaning to eat. I made up the entire packages (2) and cut them up and put them all away in containers, in the freezer, as my 'one' thing I'm determined to keep focused on and being orgainzed for....for packing, preparing my protein focused lunches! NOW I have NO excuse! I have several days prepared ready to go!
Today I'm cooking for my family, who is coming out to give my husband a hand on the front porch we are converting back to an open air porch..and I'm quite excited! I am using the opportunity to 'use up' several illegal carbage ingredience in my house to clear it out..and use it up on THEM! :o:evil: ~ aren't I kind? lol
I will be good though....~ WHY???? YOU ASK.....cause I BELONG HERE! :D

Missy - thank you, thank you, thank you!
I saw that you and I were the only 2 on here and figured I'd wait and see if you were going to start the post:D
and then you didn't... so, I started thinking of inspiration to write and wasted 5 minutes and came up with NOTHING...
and, lo and behold, in that time, your post came up:D
I have had a terrific, fantastic, wonderful morning.
DH went fishing with DS#2. I woke up just as they were leaving. DS had stopped at the store and bought us both an egg sandwich. I threw out the bagel and just ate the egg and bacon:D. Then, I put on a wash, had 2 huge glasses of water (and 2 cups of coffee) and ...
wait, hold on, NO ONE is going to believe this ...
I put on an exercise dvd and actually did the routine. It was supposed to be 55 minutes long, but was only about half an hour ... I think it skipped something, so, then I put on a 10 minute dance dvd that turned out to be 5 separate 10 minute routines and did 2 of them.
I am FEELING the work-out. The first was cardio and sculpting with "light" weights added and the dance was cardio and abs.
Tomorrow I will do a different "long" one and do the first dance one with a different second one.
DH made ribs yesterday that we are having for dinner tonight - he makes a sf sauce from Fran McC's cookbook ... yum.
I have half a left over chicken caesar salad from Friday for lunch today ...
Happy September 2nd:D
Good Morning Ladies - and all those to follow!
Missy it is good to have you back! You are right! You belong HERE:D!
I've had a good breakfast and I've also recorded it in fitday to be checked. We aren't following our normal routine of church because my little guy is sick. (I was using this new thermometer to take his temp and it NEVER went above 98.6, and I knew he had a fever. So, I used and old one and it shot up above 100. I hate when new things don't work right!)
Anyrate, he is napping and the two oldest are once again playing in the woods with daddy. So, I have a quiet morning.
This is a no excercise day for me, but I may try to get a walk in a little later.
Much to do this weekend. I'm striving to get the whole house in order before Tuesday so I can start my schedule out right!
Hope all is well.

So far, so good. I got a good breakfast in of a LC protein shake, and had a salad with chicken for lunch. So, I'm on track so far...with respect to protein and carbs.
I'm a little worried about dinner though because we're going to a bday party and I'm not sure what they're having. I'll have to really watch it so that I don't go over in carbs.
Exercise. Check. I ran 30 out of 50 minutes on the treadmill, did the stairmaster for 15 minutes, then did the ellip for 55 minutes.
Good afternoon "challenged" boot campers. Boy do I feel challenged today. I have been feeling crabby and I think when the darvocet wears off I want it again. I only take one a day. I have never had anything affect me like that.
There are two events today. Event one..a cookout at my brothers house 2 pm .
Event two..dinner at a friends house.7 pm
Both have the potential for disaster. I have the resolve going . August 28 8 pm till November 28..No sugar and 20 carbs or under...I know protien will be at both. I can hang. I can succeed. I am stronger than the sugar or the potato or the dessert. I can. I said I would so I will.
Today is rest day from excersize , but I will ride the bike with no resistance just for range of motion.:p
You all have a good sunday. Plan for next week. Rest up..you have a wild ride ahead. It's called life...
Missy it's good to know you are a loser.:D:paranoid::eek:
Kathy and Annie, sound like your day is going better as it goes. You're doing great.:)
smilies for Missy:cool:
Liz..great on the excersize...You can do the birthday...I'm with you . We can both do the family party thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Yes. Yes. Yes.
Protein - 135
Carbs - 34 ecc
Friends made wonderful dinner for us, pork tenderloin kabobs. WOW. Went a little higher on carbs than I like, but it is accounted for!
Company is still here, so I gotta run!

One day closer to my CD!
2/30 and getting closer and closer to my goal weight and health...... YIPPEE!
Honey-tree day today...
Although I did make a note of all the lc foods I did see there...I would feel MUCH better if I would have eaten LC...but I'll be prepared for next year! Y'all remind me that I have that list, okay??
I will do my "one up" tonight with lifting my weights...no excuse why I can't to those!

I've had a great day!
Had the chicken caesar salad left overs for lunch, with some nuts and then a snack of 2 ribs, no sauce.
Had some more exercise - in the pool - and got some vitamin D in from ole Mr. Sun. Finished reading DS#1 second/third draft of his manuscript. Finished a novel I was reading. Played a game of Scrabble with dh. Got rid of mounds of paperwork, shredded some, filed some, got hubby to pay the bills:D
Dinner was broccoli and more ribs.
Dh was hinting about having carbage after dinner. I didn't feel like it, really didn't feel like it:D, and I'm feeling better for it or better for not it:D
My muscles are aching a bit and tomorrow will be a real challenge - mentally and physically.
I'm heading off to bed very soon - I'm wiped out:slywink:

A big yes for me today. Great job everyone!

A yes for me, too. I worked hard for about four hours bending and scrubbing, which I haven't been feeling like doing for a few months. I love feeling better, even though I'll probably pay for it tomorrow. DOMS is almost like a prize! Oh, and the house hasn't looked so good since I hurt my knee in February.
DH reorganized the pantry today and found some Stallone pudding that had been out of my sight for a year or so. I forgot it has 20 grams of protein and only one ecc. It has to be chilled or it's like a sauce, and it tastes a little funny, but it's not bad for a snack.
I'm still working on my exercise spreadsheet via the pda, but I'll sync it when I get to work and get the bugs out. Pda work is just too darn slow!
Hope you all had a good day and I'll see you tomorrow.
Mitra, have the twins gone home now or am I a day off. I think you're just about on Monday morning, right? How did it go?

Carol, the twins went home on Sunday afternoon. They are very sweet - but never stop . We're on our own now 'til Tuesday evening, then my brother's family will be here until Thurs/Fri (not sure yet). Then it's all quiet for a while!

Sorry for the no show yesterday. Weekends are disorganized. I stayed in bed until DW forced me out at about 10:30. Had been disturbed by the cat every two hours from 2AM onwards, probably because we were out for most of the day Saturday. She got a good playing (from DW) and a half-assed one (from me) on this day, and she mostly let me sleep until 6:30.
Any rate, in terms of accomplishment, Sunday was a yes. After getting up, we got breakfast (2 eggs + canadian bacon + 1/2 DW's bacon). Went out, in the futile quest for sichuan peppercorns. A Penzey's is opening nearby early this month, but not on the first. Also, successfully purchased a quilt to protect the couch from the kitten's inadvertent rear clawings, without killing my wife. It wasn't easy. Then, installed new hard drive in her computer, and Mac OS X.4 and Adobe CS 2. I have CS3 for it, but she doesn't like it, so she gets 2. In case you were wondering, Mac is not my native environment, so this has been very frustrating, trying to repair her computer. It is working now! Yeah! Few more tweaks and it will be better than before. Well, it now has 5 times the storage space, and works, so it's on the short track for being a lot better than before anyway.
Oh yeah, it was Sunday, so homecooking. Failing to find the sichuan peppercorns, meant the meal plan couldn't go as planned. So, I improvised, and over roasted some country style pork ribs, boneless, in the oven. Quick rub with peppers, paprika, salt, pepper, some other stuff, and they were bank. About an hour in the oven for 2lbs of "ribs" and they were pretty good. Served with some BBQ sauce (SuperSmokers Championship Sauce... a St. Louis institution in the making), and a side of DF linguine in butter, parm, black pepper, and more parm (little boring, but you don't want to compete with a bbq entree with too much flavor, imho), they were very nice. DW says they are better than real ribs. I dunno if I want to take offense or not (the ones I made two weeks ago were maybe my favorite thing I have ever made, certainly top five). We ate 4/5ths of the rack, which is impressive, about 12 oz per (I know I got the long side of that).
Any rate, day accomplished, on to another one.

Day 2 was a YES.
I broiled several pounds of chicken breasts that had been marinated in olive oil and rosemary, and they turned out well. Frozen in individual packets, they will be lunches for the upcoming days. I do best if I don't have many choices for lunch--that meal tends to be for getting in the protein (and a few veggies), rather than lingering over an enjoyable meal, but these are delicious--best of both worlds.
I won't comment on exercise, or protein/carb grams unless I go off track--all of that is firmly habituated now. And, like many of you, I have found that there is no carb-laden food that is without repurcussions, so I NEAN. A handful of perfect organic raspberries and a square of 85% chocolate is my favorite indulgence. :)

Yep...finally got a chance to get on the computer...I've been so busy with month end close at work that I've been putting in a ton of time...including 10 1/2 hrs on Labor Day.
But, I DID do well at the bday party...there were tacos!:D So loaded my plate with meat, cheese, sour cream, guacamole, and some salsa. Yum. I passed on the cake...not even ONE bite!:D
