How are you doing with your new "habit"?

I've completed my goal for this week, but I think I still have a lot more work to do to establish the habit. The good thing is that as I've spent more time on my music I've been enjoying it more - I get to play some things just for fun, not because it's what I'm working on in my lessons. With time, I'll also get better, be able to play more things easily, and I'll enjoy that, too.

That's good, because it reinforces the message from the visualisation at the start of the week, and gives me confidence that it can really happen; that it isn't just a daydream.

I've ticked off a couple of overdue items on my reading list for the year, and am finding that going back to the books more regularly I feel more interest and involvement than just reading a little bit occasionally.

I've been doing pretty good. I've spent 30 minutes just for me, or 30 minutes on something I wanted to accomplish every day so far. A couple days I did one "set" of 30 minutes for me and one set of 30 minutes accomplishing something. In addition, we got our taxes done early - another great accomplishment!

Oddly, though, I've been having this "not enough" feeling. Like I'm not getting enough done during my 30 minutes. I think I need to take a step back mentally. I know I'm not going to get everything accomplished in one day, and it's been a busy week, but I feel like I should have more to show for my efforts. I don't know if that makes sense, but I get home and look around and the house is still messy, and my beadwork project doesn't seem to have gotten much further. It's like I'm walking, walking, walking, and when I stop I'm still in the same spot.

I've done fine all week except for yesterday when I only drank half the water. But I had an extra cup of green tea in the evening, so the overall liquid intake was fine. I'm off to Austin today and have a quart bottle of water chilling as I write. Now just to remember to take it! Oh, these senior moments have their moments. ;)

Janet - So far, so good :D. I have met (and exceeded) my goal every day so far.

Mary - Unfortunately, that's an "all the time" feeling for me. So I do understand it - but I don't know of a "cure" :(....

I have managed my fiber time twice so far. It looks like I'll be able to work in another time this evening.

Due to a sinusitis infection, out of work two days, back at work today, still feeling dizzy, but as soon as I feel a bit better, I will hit the exercise again.
I have exercised one day this week for 40+ minutes.
