We're given second chances every day of our life. We don't usually take them, but they're there for the taking.

I have 50 minutes of exercise to complete this week to make my goal of 180 minutes in the gym. Time wise on my schedule, today seems like the day to get it done. I am pretty darn proud of almost making that first week goal in my personal challenge.:)

And I thought, how many second chances am I going to get, to get this right? How long can we put off ill health or soaring BP or high cholestrol or diabetes? How long does it take to realize that second changes we get and don't use, get wasted?

If today you are all about investing in yourself, one of the greatest things we can do is work to be healthy. Take your second chance options today in life, do what you need to do, that is all we can do, but it is more than on somedays most of us do.

See you at the gym:eek:

Billie - I'll be there with you in spirit ;)!

We are very fortunate for second chances - otherwise, I know I wouldn't be here improving my health and enjoying this WOL. I hate to think how many years it took me to get it right, but thankfully I finally did :p.

Way to go on the gym target Billie. I am looking to find one close to home and will give it a try also.

As Shadow said also, these second chances got most of us here. We get second chances in pretty well all we do and we should make the most of them.

The other amazing thing is how well our bodies adjust to these second chances and better choices, often getting major improvements for relatively small changes.

Our work has tightened up on "second chances" a lot lately and we now have "sets" of manuals for all of our tasks. If it is in the manual, and we take an issue higher without first checking the manual it now results in a FRAP (Failure Resolution Analasys & Prevention) report and review with a small panel. This has resulted in a real stall in productivity as well as a wariness in responding to tasks you have not done before. BTW any error or change to a manual requires a CMR (Change Management Request) that has to go in front of a management committee that currently averages 2 weeks/change.

Yuck Randy that sounds awful. Extremes on either end are not good. We don't have much in the way of procedures here and sometimes that is not a good thing either.

One major success for me - budget closed last night, only one month into the new fiscal year (down from 3 last year)!

Great thought for the day, Billie,
Thank goodness for second chances.
I have been waylayed with a sinusitis infection, been home two days, just returning to work today, still on meds.
I plan to jump into my exercise again as soon as I am feeling alittle less dizzy.
