Hi all!
I read Protein Power about 4 weeks ago and have been following everything pretty close. I am 49, 5'11" tall, 195 lbs. My weight has not
really changed but I am much thinner around the waist and seeing fantastic results from my 1-hour workouts 4 days a week. I have always
been active and never had what I would call a weight problem but
could never get rid of the fat around my mid section. This book really opened my eyes and I don't see ever going back to the old diet of carbs.

I would say good luck to all but you don't need luck just follow the plan
because it really works!;)

Thanks for the welcome!
Will keep you posted. I have the wife's attention now and she is getting
more serious about it.

On another note:
I love to go to the gym but my joints don't like it
so much. If anyone has a joint relief remedy let me know.

Hi, and welcome! What kind of exercise have you tried to do? What exercises make your joints hurt? Perhaps we could suggest something a little different, easier on your joints and still effective for your goals... which then leads to the next question... :) What do you want to get out of exercising?

I have similar problems with one of my knees and lately with one of my shoulders so I had to change things a little so I don't make it worse.

I don't know if the re is a "cause and effect" effect going on, but since taking cod liver oil (2 tbsp/day, also eat fish 4 x week). My joint condition has improved dramatically. I had pain in my knees to the point I couldn't do squats. I have lifted weights regularly/semi-regularly for the last 15 years. Before following the PPLP, I'g get shoulder pain, knee pains, etc. Now My weight lifting doesn't bother me, And me strength has gone through the roof. I can do full squats with no pain.
The PPLP is amazing. I used to have dry, rough elbows (now smooth like a baby's bottom). I had a host of other skin condition that dissapeared, along with 30 lbs!, and eat, I eat a lot, just not much carbs!.

I do 1-hour of strength training 5-6 days a week. Mostly it is my elbows that hurt. I use biofreeze on those joints to ease the pain as I start my
work out and once into it the pain eases up but can be brutal the next day.

I also eat fish several time during the week. May have to try the cod liver oil. Ack! sounds nasty but if it helps I am willing to try. My strength is growing at a pretty good rate but the pain does hold me back some.
