Lost my "plan" over the weekend. Not as bad as it could have been, but still not "on plan".
Mostly I was overdoing it on NO CARB crackers and NO CARB cheese...but still the fact that I was eating when I wasn't hungry is not good.

10am chicken breast, faux-tato salad
1pm creamsicle shake
forgot the shake at 1, so had it at 2pm with a serving of salami
3:30 6" cucumber
shouldn't need this since I had my shake late
4:30 dentist
will eat as soon as I leave the dentist, probably 5:30
6:30 Turkey brat, lettuce, tomato

Amy, so sorry to hear about your recent struggles. For you and me both, we can make eating something that takes less of our energy, but it will always require some attention. Relax too much, and the other habits creep back in. Remember that one of the reasons you liked the shake ideas was to reduce the amount of thinking you had to do about food. When you eat the cucumber, do you eat pb or cream cheese with it, or nuts? I'd add a wee bit of fat there, perhaps.
Monday for me:
Breakfast - yogurt and protein powder
Lunch - lc frozen dinner with extra chicken
Snack (possible) - Atkins protein bar
Dinner - at a restaurant after dragon boating so no idea
I'm not sure how hungry I'll be, but since I won't eat dinner until about 8, after exercising, I might eat a protein bar in the late afternoon. I'll play that by ear.
Have a good start to the week folks!
I do plan on seeking out some protein to eat with it, but I'll have to run across the street and figure out what they have before I tell y'all. I'm hoping for HB eggs, but will probably end up with string cheese.

Oh, Ammy, so sorry to hear about your struggles.
Wendy, I know what you mean. Relax too much, things get out of control.
I seem to be on plan one day, the next, I get off.
I am starting journaling again.
When I went for my bi-annual exam, my doc handed me a 1400 cal diet and wanted me to try it. Yuk, talk about the carbs and low fat plan. He said, "if I really want to lose weight, I need to cut my calories" and he thought this plan was the best one.
I went ahead and took it, but I know by looking at it, it would just add the lbs and I would be hungry.
Well, onto the program and when I go back in Feb 08, I plan to be alot lighter.
Today:
1/2 egg McMuffin, coffee
chef salad w/ blue cheese dressing, tea
taco salad w/ few tortilla chips, salsa
watermelon 1 cup,
I'm just going to hang in there.....
I have a very singly-focused plan today...
to stay ON PLAN.
8/14/07
7am 2HB eggs, coffee shake
10am 1chicken breast, one 5" cucumber, baggie of lettuce/tomatoes
1pm lemonade shake
3:30pm 1.5 serving hard salami (if needed)
5:30pm 2 turkey brats, lettuce/cucumber/tomato, serving green beens
7pm no-carb popsicle

Aug 14th-Tuesday
Started my day out at the Dentist with the Hygienist. :frown: No cavities, but always tartar to remove. My mouth is always a little tender, so mostly liguid or semi-solids today.
B- starbuck's latte w/half n half, few raw cherries (before appointment)
Planned:
B-late: lc yogurt
L- slim fast LC SHAKE, canned, probably some clear soup from canteen
S- cottage cheese
D- soup of some sort, homemade
Will edit later......
Already broke my ONE goal...but it was not my fault (is it ever??:razz: )
Have to adjust because I got busy at work and missed 10am.

I too had a carby weekend.....company. I know that is not a good excuse. Paid for it tho'. Talk about a mental haze. Felt like I had been drugged all day. Got back to eating right yesterday.
B - eggs and bacon
L - steak w/peppers and onions
D - cottage cheese and cantaloupe
today's menu
B- eggs and bacon
L - steak topped salad
D - cottage cheese and cantaloupe
Feel much more alive today. Still trying to find what will work the best for me so am thinking of eating heavier at breakfast and lunch with a light dinner. I'll see how it goes this week.
I was scheduled for a teeth cleaning next week also Claudette, but it got pushed ahead to next month. Can leave you a little tender.

I posted yesterday in last week's thread. It was stickied and this one wasn't and I just did it by instinct.
Anyway, today is as follows:
breakfast: raspberries and cottage cheese
lunch: lc frozen dinner + extra chicken
snack: protein bar
(then work out)
dinner: hot dog (or two) at baseball game.

B-eggs, bacon slice, 1/2 commerical canned biscuit, (pretty small), coffee w/ splash real cream
Planned:
S- oz cheddar, tiny pickle
L- chef salad w/ ham/turkey, sf tapioca pudding, perrier
S- oz cheddar, tiny pickle
D- baked chic w/ garlic, grilled red peppers & green beans, sf jello, tossed green salad w/ dressing
On plan for day #3.
8/15/07
7am coffee shake, 3 sausage, 1 hb egg (trying to add a bit more to breakfast)
10am pork chop, steamed green beens (fresh from my garden)
12pm (after working out) 1 serving pumpkin seeds
2pm creamsicle shake
5pm tuna/egg salad on 4ecc pita with lettuce/tomato
OR tuna, dreamfield pasta, carrots, celery, and mayo on lettuce
7pm 2ecc popsicle
I'm not feeling hungry during the day, then want to EAT at night...not necessarily feeling HUNGRY at night, just WANT to eat!!
I skipped my beans for lunch and just had the pork chops. I'm having my seeds now, but MAN are they salty!!!

Ammy, I'm without appetite today also. Don't know if I'll be able to eat all that I've planned.

D - cottage cheese or protein shake w/fresh peach
I have to break this EATING thing at night...not sure if I'm hungry and therefore should have a shake or something around NOW,
OR if all this evening eating is just having too much free time and food in the house, so I feel like I need to eat it...cause I'm not really HUNGRY at the moment...wait, or am I??
I wish someone else would monitor my hunger for me...I don't want the JOB anymore!!!
Just wanted to report that last night I got a burger, no bun, and a side salad...I ate the burger first, but then was too full to eat the salad. I ate some croutons, but only two bites of lettuce...just was FULL...
Very nice!

10am tuna with mayo, 1oz pickles, 5" cucumber
12:30pm almond/pumpkin seed mix
1:30pm lemonade shake
3:30pm 8 slices salami
6pm pork spare ribs, green beans, lettuce/tomato (if needed)
7:30 2ecc popsicle

Well, I wasn't feeling good yesterday, so I didn't eat my protein bar before the workout. But afterwards, I ate it and 2 hot dogs ($2 concession night at the ball park).
Today's plan...

Dinner: burger with ketchup and green beans
I think instead of my shake, I'm going to have an iced latte...then some salami so I get my protein in...
I loved iced latte's...I get the medium size with whole milk and an extra shot of expresso and SF vanilla flavoring...Yummm

L) chicken breast herbal tea
D)steak herbal tea
sn)eggs

Hi, yesterday, was on plan, day # 4, today will be also.
Today, we are closing on the house, then it's off to buy appliances, etc. then continue to pack. We will start moving next week.
I am off from work, so being on plan will be easier.
17Aug07 Planned;
B- eggs, bacon, lc milk, tea
S- cheese, sf cranberry juice
L- egg salad or homemade pimento cheese on lettuce, maybe a slice of toast.
S- deli ham or turkey, lettuce
D- beef tips sans gravy over dreamfield's pasta, tossed green salad.

Yesterday we ended up meeting and doing a bit of shopping before the game. I ate a greek salad with chicken at a shopping centre food court.
Today is not well planned:
Breakfast - 1/2 peach and cottage cheese
Lunch - lc frozen dinner (no extra chicken because I didn't make it, but immediately after this we are going to the doctor and then to work out, so if I'm hungry, I'll eat a protein bar for a snack)
Dinner - hopefully a burger and green beans but who knows.

D- steak, homemade ice cream
I'm not eating a lot of veggies right now but having my carbs in all these wonderful fresh fruits while in season. Do take my vitamins regularly.
Back to work....house cleaning day. Have fun appliance shopping, Claudette. Wishing everyone a pleasant day.
