Good Morning!
My dh got our bikes all ready for riding yesterday, so the kids and I rode bikes for about an hour. That was fun!
I went to my 5:30am muscle toning class. Great workout. I ran to the gym, but got a ride home because of the rain. Dang, and we were going to ride bikes to school today. Maybe tomorrow.

Yeah for you, Songberries! It's always wonderful when we can incorporate fitness into our family's life. It's not only a way of being together, but a way of improving everyone's health together. You can't beat that!

I suggest people walk to work. I do it every day to and from my appartment. It takes just 20 mins each way. On most days I try to get in addition treadmill activity of 45 mins to 1.5 hours. But I really enjoy the walks to and from work. They don't feel like a work out.

i have a 10-12 mile, 25 min drive to work. walking there or even cycling there isn't going to happen.

I like the idea of fitting in more exercise during the day. I run to and from the gym, it's only 1/2 mile. I also park in the outer edges of the parking lots, and I'll do stairs 2 at a time, sometimes I'll go up an extra flight or two also.

Had to get outside so just did a mile walk and on my way to the gym for lower body resistance.
Did 30 minutes resistance on legs today. Will not count in my 180 minute goal but the walk was about 20, I looked inwindows at times

Can you park 20 minutes away? There are people here that do just that. They also save on parking as it is cheaper the further away from the city center you go.

no, it is not an option to park elsewhere.
I just get my exercise a different way than walking to work.

I can't walk to work either -- it's 12 miles through town.
But I can walk to the bus stop. Since it's Tuesday, it's my therapy day, and the walk down the hill was a little shorter than usual.
My mission for the weekend is to get a clear space in my living room big enough to do Slow Burn. I think I have all the stuff, based on what I'm reading in the book, I just need space.
Does a couple hours of heavy cleaning count as exercise? *grin*
And depending on the rain, I may skip the uphill tonight. I'm still fairly drenched from my morning trips. And it's 2 PM!

I did my 30mn cardio tonight and feeling better-my achilles tendon is much better! Now I just have to get back to sprinting little by little so I'm not injuring it again.

LisaV - So glad to see you :D! Glad that tendon is on the mend!!!
Miralin - Great mission for the weekend :)! Oh sure - heavy cleaning at least counts for activity even if it's not exercise so count away :p!

Thanks, Shadow WP!
I've been away from the boards (bad-I know) since I was sick w/ the flu & bronchitis for what felt like 3 weeks. Feels good to be back to "normal" & posting though! :)

LisaV - Gosh, you've had a rough time the last several weeks, haven't you ! But maybe the down time with the cold/flu helped the tendon problem too. At least you can tell yourself so - that at least puts a bright spin on having the crud :D! And yes, please do get back to posting regularly - because the WP misses you when you're gone and then she has to wonder what you're up to if you're not checking in ;).

Feel better!

Ended up taking the bus up the hill last night. Rain is kickin' ma butt.
And I was joking about counting as exercise, but I do know that after a couple hours of heavy cleaning I will be wiped out for that day and maybe the next. Darn autoimmune system always jinxing my plans.
But I'll get things in shape, just watch me! :D

...and I do, of course! :D
Thanks Sherry & Shadow-I AM feeling much better. I think since my husband is back working after so long, my body decided to take a vacation. I just wish it went somewhere warm & sunny instead of my bed & couch.
Glad I am back on the radar of the WP!:D

LisaV - Thanks so much for the humor and brightening my day :D!!! How is DH's new job going? It's no wonder your body demanded a break after finally getting a relief from the stress you were carrying. But you're right - it's just too bad it chose the cold/flu as a way to get the break it wanted!
Miralin - I know that you will get in shape - and I'm so happy to be here to watch you do it :D!
