I have been doing PP since February, and lost over 30 pounds and 200 Triglyceride points( milligrams, maybe?)
Been sticking pretty close to the regime, but over the weekend, I binged a little (OK, a lot) on cake and ice cream - both Saturday and Sunday.
Monday morning, I woke up nauses, with body aches and sweating. I went to the office, and people thought I was hungover - I felt like it too, but no headache, and I only had one beer in the past month! Went to bed for the rest of the day.
Feel fine today (Tuesday).
Could this be a reaction to over doing it on carbs? Or did I just have 24 hour bug?

You bet it could have been caused by the carbs--
It is actually called a carb hangover!!!! LOL
congrats--you will remember it next time you are tempted to over indulge.
funny to think you used to feel kinda like that all the time :D

That is the exact description of what happens to me when I have overindulged. The last time all I had was the crust of 3 pieces of pizza !! (Well they were pretty large slices ) I didn't have any desserts or other carbage. Any way, it is not worth it to feel that way so I have avoided "off plan" days since then. -- I would rather have things that are on plan and equally delicious--just need to plan them out a bit.

Thanks for confirming what I thought. I knew it had to be related to the food binge. I really felt 'hungover', except no headache.

Does drinking Green Tea help reduce this effect?

Hi, zip.
Flushing your system (lots of fluids, especially water) is what will really help. If you drink a lot of green tea, that will contribute to the cure, but plain old water will work, too.
Or there's the 'just say no' approach... ;)
I experience body aches after not so much 'cheating' as carb-loading before a race. My two cents is on a lowcarb regime the glyogen levels are quite low in muscles. Indulging in carbs causes the body to refil the muscles with glycogen. Glycogen requires a lot of fluid. So the muscles swell, straining ligaments and irritating nerve endings in the muscle sheaths. It might feel a bit like a flu bug but I think mostly people are exaggerating the sensation. You get the symptoms that you're expecting.

Well, if my expectations woke me up out of a sound sleep at 4 a.m. with nausea and a hang over feeling, I guess my imagination is really running away from me.
No, it isn't what I was expecting when it happened after the pizza-- I had only indulged in 3 large pizza crusts (the carb part of the deal) and I did not dream that would make me feel so horrible, but it did.
