The reward of a thing well done is to have done it. ~Ralph Waldo Emerson
Here’s the finish line! You made it! (((Group Hug!))) I'm very proud of you all and I enjoyed this month of growth and support and progress. Thanks to everyone who joined us, even part-time as schedules permitted. Are you ready for the next challenge? I can't wait to see what Billie has cooked up for us!

It's been a great month, Carol. Thank you so much for all the work you put into digging out suitable quotes, and keeping us all in order :).
I haven't seen much in the way of changes in weight or measurement, but then, maintenance is pretty much like that ;). What I have done is keep moving so my back didn't totally seize up, or my core muscles totally wither away after last month's problems, and get my food back to feeling well established again, which seems to have taken forever after various disruptions over the last few months.
Looking forward to seeing what fun and games Billie has planned for July :D.

I agree, Janet. Members in maintenance have different issues from new folks, or from those with specific health problems. Since we have such a variety of goals, we can usually find someone who can give suggestions or share their experience in a meaningful way. Fortunately, eating as prescribed by the Dr. Eades, choosing supplements that help, exercising and networking with others can be the loose binding that holds us all together. No-one can dictate because each person knows himself the best! :)
Thank you very much for your help and participation this month. I helped for a month, but I can't imagine how you mods come up wih fresh ideas month after month!
I'm supposed to be packing an overnight bag right now, but I'm going to leave the computer on and hope to get back one more tiime to see who's around on a beautiful Saturday like this.

Good morning!
I slept like a slug and feel pretty good this morning! My left shoulder is still bothering me and I really don't know why. :( I guess it's technically not the shoulder, but my upper back outside my shoulderblade area.
Today's agenda includes laundry, dropping off books at the library, stop at my MIL's to pick up some broccoli, a visit to "OK Carbs" (one of only 2 stores in the whole state - from what I've read - dedicated to LC and I've never even been in there) and a trip to the grocery store. Several things around the house I want to do as well, but not sure which one(s) to do yet. Hoping to get some sunshine today as well.
I peeked at the scale this morning and as long as there are no sudden surprised in the next 24 hours I should end the month on a good note!
Off to make my shake......

afternoon, everyone!
Carol - thanks so much for such a great job! Every quote had meaning and helped:D
As for reward for me, well, I'll find out tomorrow. I know my clothes are fitting looser, I'll jump on the scale and take measurements either tonight or tomorrow - I have to check my paper and see if I did it May 31 or June 1st.
Didn't want to get up this morning - had a late night, but dh & I power cleaned in anticipation of a 9:15 visit from our grandblessing, at 8:45 found out she wouldn't arrive until 10:30. We really got a lot done:D
we spent about 1 1/2 hours with her, and I'm having tuna while I'm on 'puter, 'cos we have company coming over at 2.
Have carbage for them, dh ran out and picked it up:rolleyes: before 8 AM, but I don't want to even be tempted (and I don't have enough of my snacks to share and no time to get more before they get here.
I'll be back:D

Wow! Where is everyone today?
I've had a busy day, yet still haven't finished everything on my "list". Of course what's left involves sitting here at the computer and I really wasn't up to that most of the day, felt like I was being slothful when I did.
The "OK Carbs" place was out of business :( I could've sworn I just saw them there a few weeks ago, but it may have just been the sign and no one inside. Some research has netted me a place not too far from where I work that also caters to low carb/healthy eating but I don't think it's exclusively low carb like the other was. That actually puts 2 places downtown like that. I'll go by there one day this week (hopefully) and see what there is to see.
I did have an unexpected purchase at the grocery store today... fresh corn on the cob... major weakness for me. I did have 1/2 of an ear with my dinner. My daughter was sorta laughing at me this afternoon as I was plugging numbers into my spreadsheet to make sure it wouldn't put me over my meal max (15) or day max (40). Smothered it with butter and it was soooooo good... along with fresh broccoli and salmon patties! One of the most enjoyable meals I've had in a while actually.
So the number for today:
Protein: 130 grams - qualified yes  downside to sleeping in, I missed a meal and even 2 patties at dinner didn't make it all up.
ECCs: 33 grams - yes
Water: 110 ounces - yes
Supplements: AMP + almonds - yes
Exercise: 10 minutes DWTS warmup/cool down in an attempt to fix my neck/shoulder PLUS 30 minutes outside in the sunshine (in the chair but it felt so good!).
Will there be a "results" thread or should I just come back here tomorrow morning with all that information?

Carol!
WHOO-HOOO!!!
I'm SO PROUD of YOU, I can't stand it! :D
I knew you'd do a FABULOUS job, but you even exceeded my expectations, and you KNOW they were HIGH! ;)
Not only did you help the troops, but you REALLY helped the mods, and we are incredibly grateful and proud!
Thanks, GF!!!
Love,
Sherry
Carol, you did an awesome job of encouraging us all. You kept me going along with several others, when pain takes over.
I am not sure how much I can do excersize wize in the next few days. I feel really constricted with this wet cast. It comes off Sunday. THe pain is still the same . It does not feel like anything has changed.
I feel like wearing good supportive shoes is putting your feet in a cast and makes them weak. I would prefer NOT to wear orthitics or anything. First I need to stop the sprained tendons from causing me to walk weird. I am doing some Pain free body alignment for my hips and legs, hoping that it helps my feet to walk straight. Doing martial arts and kick boxing makes my fett very strong. I was stupid to fight back when my son was drowning me. I would have been better off sucking a little water.

Will there be a "results" thread or should I just come back here tomorrow morning with all that information? Anyone who wants to post results may do it right here. I'll keep checking, because some will have been gone for the whole weekend.
Agnes, that's great that your clothes are looser! I hope the scale follows suit.
Becca, I'm sorry the store was closed. It would have been a treat!
Hawk, I think you can give your foot a rest until the cast comes off. Try some upper body maybe? Let me get this straight; you were kicking your son? Who was trying to drown you? Did I miss a post somewhere?
Billie and Sherry, I would like to also thank you for your support this month. I never felt alone. ;)

My results weren't quite what I had hoped. I actually went up a pound from Saturday to Sunday.
So I'm down 2 from the beginning of the month, but still up 4 from where I was at the beginning of May. I'm actually about where I was in March.
Lost an inch just in my hips, but again putting me back where I was before.
But according to my records (and best (hopefully close) guess numbers for off-plan stuff) I have the following numbers to report:
Average protein: 136 grams
Average ECCs: 55 grams - with 1 whole day plus 3 other meals (1 planned 2 not) that were not "on plan" I think that's pretty good.
Average Water: 124 ounces
Supplements: 3 days where I didn't get ALL of them - 2 days I missed 1 "dose" and my free day I only had my morning batch.
and...drumroll.....
Exercise: I had a total of 339 minutes (plus the entire day of walking around at Myrtle Beach) for the entire month. That averages to 11.3 minutes per day. My goal was 10 minutes for 6 days per week (which would've been about 260 minutes for the month) so I exceeded that goal! :D
After my disastrous May I feel pretty good about June!
Thanks again Carol for doing such a terrific job.

Okay, I have my results for June. I lost 3.6 pounds this month so was very pleased with that (after going to 2 trailrides and having to just eyeball my food portions while I was there.) I did my hip and waist measurements too and my waist was the same but hips were down a half inch from last month.
Thanks again for all the encouragement and ideas Ms Carol.
