Hi fellow grain lovers

Just found a site that claims to make noodles and pasta with no carbs or calories!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! http://www.miraclenoodle.com

Hubby and I went out shopping for all the flour products in Drs. Eades Cookbook. Will be trying to make rolls,bread, muffins, pizza dough and crackers. Any hints for anyone who has used the recipes:confused: :confused: :confused: :confused:

I have heard of konjac flour and konjac noodles - but never tried them and never heard of the brand you linked to.

I believe that Konjaku is a lot like shiratake. You can find a ton of shiratake recipes. They don't taste like much. But the goal of pasta is to be a medium for the sauce, so yeah.

They are SOGGY. Not for me, but if you like asian style soup, I bet they work nicely.

I don't find them soggy exactly but they are very BOUNCY--kinda chewy-- compared to pasta--and yeah they have practically no taste. i like the ones that have a little tofu in them better than the plain ones. they look a bit more noodle like--less transparent! I think they can work fine if you are really missing pasta-- but take a little adjustment to get used to.

I prefer using zucchini shaved into ribbons and quickly sauted with some garlic and olive oil OR spaghetti squash for my noodle necessities. IMO they taste better and add more nutrition.
