Good Morning Everyone!
I had a great run this morning! I did 6 miles in 1 hour. Saturday morning I did a 5.5 mile run, a new one for me. I headed up a nearby canyon for an uphill run. I did pretty good too.

Songberries, wow! You did great!
I had a hard time getting up this morning...might have been the gentle rain on my window panes all last night. It sure did feel good to sleep in. (Hold your horses, I mean, er, your whip, Shadow. ;) Don't worry. I'll head to the gym later when the boys go to school...spring break is over & back to school they go. :) )

Liz - I have complete faith you'll get there :D! I think a lot are having problems with the time change - and a nice rain didn't help, I'm sure :p!
Songberries - Great job! I was just wondering this weekend where you were :).

Thank you, thank you! :D I'm having so much more fun working out at the gym instead of at home. The time goes by so quickly when I'm there. I love the group classes, too! (I'll hopefully be taking a step class tonight.)

Shadow, you're right. I'm sure the time change had something to do with it, too. ;)

As per my challenge goals I am headed to the gym this afternoon for a good workout. I am very sore from Saturday, I shouldn't have done a full body resistance but I was so revved at the time I am not quite sure what body parts to work out--they are all feeling a bit sore!

I managed to do 20 minutes on the bike and my weight circuit. Daylight savings time is killing me. I should have gotten up and hour earlier to go to the Y. Instead I finished at the Y, grabbed something to eat (eggs and bacon, I was good), showered and got to work exactly at noon where I walked into the computer center to impatient patrons who wanted a computer NOW, wanted me to fix all of their computer ills NOW, and in my spare time, find a ladder and climb up to reset the wall clock. Sorry for using this space to vent. I'll be good.

Billie - Since it's been 48 hours, I'd say you're safe to do any of them - just with lighter weights ;). But sometimes, when you're sore, once those muscles start moving they suddenly feel much better - and if that's the case, then you can go for it :D!
Bonnie - Vent away :)! DST is one thing that irks me every year - from the time it begins until it finally ends  ;). Anyway - way to go getting in the workout you did!!! And, I hope your day gets much better!

Hi, y'all,
Per my challenge posting for the month, I started my week with exercise.
DST (in the Spring, anyway, takes me about a week to "re-set" my internal body clock) untill then, I feel so blah.
This am: body flex aerobic/toning tape, upper body weights, abd/obliques/waist exercises for a total of 40 minutes.
Stairs at work, up to two flights at a time in lieu of the elevator.
Hugs,
Claudette

Well I got in 40 minutes, half way to my weekly goal now. I did about 18 minutes on the tread mill and the rest I worked on bi, tri's, abs and shoulders. Felt good Shadow.

Claudette - Yeah for you! It is so wonderful to see you sticking with the exercise :)!
Billie - :D!!!!
Liz - No surprise on the elliptical - but tell us more about that step class!

I managed to make it up the hill last night. Not much, but it's something, and I'm happy with that. I'm striving for consistency still, but doing OK with that.
I'll post today's in today's thread. :D

Shadow, the step class which I took was 45 min long & was an intro class where the basics are taught and then built on. It's a pretty good aerobic workout since I was moving the whole time.

Awesome, Liz :D!!! I wish I would've taken the time to learn the basic steps before I tried to jump into intermediate/advanced routines . Maybe if I had the basics down, the rest wouldn't have been so challenging. Of course, having 2 left feet don't help either :p.....

Shadow, this is why I'm probably going to be in this class a little longer than the average person before I move to the next level of step classes.

Believe me, Liz, I will never conquer the complex choreography world :p. Hey, it's okay though - the most important thing is that you're moving, regardless of the "level"! Believe me, even a beginner step class can be quite challenging as long as you appy yourself - and I know you do!
