I'm having a hard time. I just cannot quit caffeine. And last night I had a beer, which was a bit too high carb. This morning I ate 30 carbs with breakfast--there was basically NOTHING in my house to eat [I came back from my bf's to do work], I was STARVING, I had a protein shake, but I was still starving and there were these Morningstar Chik patties in the freezer, so I had 2 of them, and some cheese. That's like 30g ECC all together. I'm not hungry anymore :) Oh, and I had a cup of coffee with cream and sweet n low.

I am glad that I see my nutritionist tomorrow, maybe she can give me some cheerleading and help me give up the caffeine! Otherwise, I feel like I'm doing well. I got through the first 3 days, I hope I really didn't screw it up and have to re do everything after this morning, but I have faith that I will be ok, I just threw out all the carbs in my freezer.

Anyways, just needed to rant. Thanks!

you're quitting caffeine because you have some problem with it?

what "re do" -- just start back on plan with your next meal. don't make it too hard ... just eat protein & veggies & good fats & sometimes some berries -

I was going to say...I just "added" caffeine. :o ..and I love the lift.

Blue....some helpful advise I was once given and it's so true. Failure to plan is a plan to fail.

Thanks :) Definitely true... I am going to discuss a more concrete plan with my nutritionist today! A major issue is TIME. I am finishing up my thesis and often times a whole day goes by without my noticing, then I have to get my car fixed because it failed inspection [newish car, too!], and I keep forgetting to pay bills!!! I know, one thing at a time... but honestly I need to plan my grocery shopping trips better. I am making time today to go grocery shopping, the problem is that I am living at 2 residences right now, an hour apart, so it is difficult to keep track of what is where!!!

Sam, good luck on your thesis! At least you know it's a temporary condition. Good job throwing out the carbs!

Missy's right. Plan. Get good food in the house.
