"Imagine life as a game in which you are juggling five balls in the air. You name them - work, family, health, friends, and spirit - and you're keeping all of these in the air. You will soon understand that work is a rubber ball. If you drop it, it will bounce back. But the other four balls - family, health, friends, and spirit are made of glass. If you drop one of these, they will be irrevocably scuffed, marked, nicked, damaged, or even shattered. They will never be the same. You must understand that and strive for balance in your life"

This quote is a great visual, that rubber ball can be any one of the 5 we choose. I was just reading the new habit challenge for April and I believe Janis was saying that she was in a caregiver roll so much she would take the time to do somethings for her. So definitely she has been balancing herself (sorry I am using you here Janis;) ) with that glass ball.
Then I looked at me, my work ball has been definitely glass for many years to me, but in the past few months (I suppose a new life does this for you:) ) my work ball is definitely becoming more rubbery. And like Janet I think sometimes my "self" ball is the one out of glass.
Things have got to change! Gaelen posted a great little self inventory I hope you take time to read it, pair it with this quote and you have some great "thinking" things for the weekend.
BTW, Mitra I am seemingly more curious about yoga and have been doing some reading. This quotation is from a yoga site, that at least for me is very inspirational.
Have a great Saturday! I love Saturday's we are off to have coffee with friends, then a workout at the Y, a bit of grocery shopping and may look into a grill today. Have a good one!
