Mitra...I'm contemplating a shock collar
I should have mentioned that there were no M&M's available in the corner yesterday....The "other one" ate them all early in the morning...TG...now, there were plenty available in vending but that's just too much trouble and something I can avoid. I'm hoping to avoid the corner completely today. Feeling pretty good about it this morning...am going to try something a little different with my meals today...I'm taking more food and going to split it up a bit more so I eat more often. I'm also going to try not eating at my desk at all. Typically, we in the auditing department eat at our desks...I'm going to try to stop doing that and actually eat in the lunch room. I used to do that for a while but quit when I moved back to "the corner" a couple of months ago. I'm going to get away from my desk and start that again. That might help as well. I'm hoping repositioning my computer will help as well. I'll report my SUCCESS this evening.
It is Mr. OHIO night tonight and since the babies are having their "snip and zip" today, I won't hang around here long tonight, but I will pop in and report. It's not that you all aren't important to me.....but I'm sure you all understand ;)
Hope everyone has a great day.......It's cloudy here...hoping for some sunshine later...supposed to be in the 70's this weekend.

Another day of business planned here. More Outlook + GTD integration (Calendar, here I come), more Italy planning (picked a 5 terre B&B, but haven't heard back yet, booked Milan, but send the wrong email so have to resend), more work on my work project. On the flip side, one of my four projects is completely done. Yeah!
No quotes today. I think I'm out of the quotey section of GTD. Lemme just say this. If you keep focused on the goals, how can you go astray?
Rock on.
PS- AC/DC is the best music for cardio. The Girl's Got Rhythm... Back seat rhythm!

Hello, Michelle, Max :).
If you keep focused on the goals, how can you go astray?
Good advice to keep us on the straight and narrow today. You can't control our weather, but what you eat and drink is up to you.

Good Morning. I'm feeling better...but not 100%.
I do get to go to my next post op visit today...so I should get the word to be "released" to go back to the gym! :D
I am still thinking that my UTI is lingering, despite being on antibiotics. But...well, I'm not yet finished with them yet...but well, these things I KNOW! I have a plan "b"..but first I have to finish plan 'a'.
Going to go camping this weekend, perhaps on Thursday. Finally the weather seems to be cooperating.
I go with my sister and bil on Friday afternoon for the first part of their trial...so I'll drive to the campground seperately from my husband.....then you probably won't see much of me Monday, Tues and Weds either. So, just know I'm coping.
hey you diehards!!! I am so glad to see you.
I spent the weekend with my nieces at University of Illinois and worked out in the gym on campus with them. They are now doing the body for life program and trying to eat lower carb and incorporate more protien in their diet.
They are even drinking protien shakes.
I got my intervals in today and last night spent and hour or so at the Y with my son Jon. He leaves for another tour of Iraq May 10. I have him till Sunday here on leave. We have been having a wonderful time. The kid has really grown un into a man. I am appreciating him more and more.
I miss you all but I have been spending every spare second with Jon.
He loves my low carb food and does not eat sugar. He also either works out with me or sleeps till I get back. I have to work this morning.
See you soon baboon....
PS..I have kept up every day with this WOE and the excersize. Not always sun because there is alot of cloudy days here.

Hawk, I'm so glad you're having a wonderful time with Jon. Of course you want to spend as much time as you can with him while he's staying - we'll catch up with you when he's gone.
Missy, where are you planning to go for your camping trip? Is it an area you've been to before?
Hey all...
I cleaned all obvious carbs out of my house today. Even the LC buns are gone.
I'm not going to say I didn't parttake of some this am, but they're gone now, and I have planned an "on plan" rest of the day.
I didn't have time to cook last night, so I have a south beach wrap for lunch, then supper will be a salad and turkey roast. I have to run over to Target today, so I'll buy some string cheese to keep here at work for snacks.
It's cloudy this am, but in a few short hours the sun is suppose to come out and stay out. That is how my day is starting...carby in the am, but will 'clear up' and turn into a low-carb day.
As Max said...Rock on!

Good on ya, Amy! When you have a tiger by the tail, you have to swing it hard!
I hit the ground running this morning after a short night, so the first blip on the screen was my boss expressing frustration over something in the budget. He was trying to plan with a printout that was two weeks old and refused my offer to get him a current one. I don't know what goes on in his head! I finally said, let me do a little research and I'll get back with you.
Had a protein shake for breakfast and just finished a ham & swiss lc wrap. My bs was 120 this morning and I wonder if lack of sleep would affect it. I had a late dinner, but it was just a small bowl of stew.

Mitra....no place "special" just at local State Park by Lake Erie. Just to make sure everything is working alright in our camper for the season..and make sure it's stocked...and well, basically, just to get the HECK out of DODGE and get away...you know!?
I'd REALLY like to come see you and enjoy the scenery in your pictures!!!! :D Maybe I'll take my camera along and pretend I can take pictures too!! I'll tell ya, it won't be like the ones you and Carol take! lol :o

After reading your journal, with all that's going on, I'm not surprised you want to get away for a few days. I'm sure your state park is beautiful - and when you look at my photos you don't see the gas works or plumber's merchants that's just out of shot . England has lots of pretty bits, but it is also a rather small and very crowded island. We don't have the same space that you do. It's one of the things I love when I visit America.

*CRAP* Lost this post twice to sloppy clicking. *sigh*
Very short version:
Completed Outlook Getting Things Done integration. Wasn't intending to, but decided to push through.
Also, completed booking accommodations for Italy trip. A full 34 days before we leave. I'm proud.
Have eaten 63 grams of protein (before lunch) and 9 g of carbs. Have also has more than 2L of water. Also did a brutal interval workout (6sec sprints with 9 sec rests, 22 reps today, beat my best by 8 reps!)
Am entertaining twice this weekend. Both times, it's me, DW, and one. Have been really excited about doing a crown roast, but 3 is not enough. Probably gonna do a pork tenderloin dish for the second one (wife's friend). Not sure what the first one is gonna get. My brother is gonna call on Wednesday to give me an idea of what he'd like. Might get Thai Beef Salad thing, pass the rice.
Any rate, back to work (or lunch. whatever).
Work hard folks. You are worth the sweat.

Hi, y'all,
Great quote, Max. I like it so much I might add it to my signature.
<<<Missy>>> I haven't read your journal, but hugs to you for whatever is going on. Congrats for being released to go to the gym. Hope you get to feeling better.
Carol, way to go.
Ammy, cleaning out the carbs in the kitchen is worth it, isn't it.
Hawk, wow, great keeping up with your workout schedule with your nieces.
Paper work today at work at my desk. Dept. person is back from R&R and I need to catch up.
I had to buy my lunch today, taco salad sans tortilla. Have bars with me for snack.
Grey day here, overcast, no sun.
Will check in later.

Max, you sound harried. Hope your day goes well!
Missy, just pay attention to the edges of your viewfinder and get as close as you can to your subject. Keep distractions to a minimum. Sidelight shows more detail than front light. Keep horizon lines straight, but not in the center of the picture. There, a whole semester in a paragraph! ;)
Janet, I especially love the scenes you have framed by the culverts and tunnels. I'm going to start looking around for possibilities! :D
I'm bored today. No, I've got stuff to do but it's probably that I didn't get enough sleep last night. I've been avoiding caffeine, but I'm tempted to get a cup of three-hour-old coffee. Should be about the caffeine level of espresso by now!

Did you drink the three hour old coffee? Did it help?

So, there is harried and there is busy with a mind like water. I'm working on the water part. I'd say my mind is more like a highly viscous fluid on the work right now. Somewhere between the automotive sludge and glass at about 700F. But, this is better than the glass at room temperature I was working with. So, progress is getting made.
Now, back to my powerpoint!

Yes, I did notice, and I'm going to do more framing in the future. Maybe in your previous existance you were a mouse? :D Didn't get to the coffee because I got very busy for a bit. I'm just about ready to leave in a half hour, so I can struggle through. ;)

Okay, I got the picture! :jawDrop: Sounds serious!
I've got fuzzbrain myself today, and of course the budget issues WILL come up when I'm handicapped! I made a good showing for myself, though. I'm realizing that the big guy gets irascible when he's got fuzzbrain and it can't be his fault, so it must be mine. I've got the soothing, non-intrusive elevator music on again today. Actually, it's called Spa. I wish! It actually does settle my nerves.

Popping in to say hello.
I stayed an extra hour at work today and made some headway into the stack of tickets on my desk. Down to 3 days for 2 stores left, plus what I'll get tomorrow (today for 7 stores). Unless things picked up a LOT after I left I expect that today's paperwork will be a breeze, very little business at my store and the phone wasn't ringing so I knew the other stores weren't calling for stuff. Not that I want business to be bad, but I feel like I"m getting behind!
Came home and went outside for about 30 minutes. Even put on my bathing suit! I was actually surprised I could get in it as I had purchased it back when I had lost a bunch of weight 5/6 years ago.
I got my bloodwork results back today (that I had done on the 4th). Definitely NOT what I expected. :( The only significant improvement was a 20 point drop in FBS. And my iron is considered "too low" (serum iron was checked, not hemoglobin or ferritin). All my cholesterol ratios are still too high. :( And my HDL didn't budge at all.
Time for me to get some housework done.
Oh yeah... am totally on track for today. Lacking about 20 grams of protein and I'm only at 21 ECCs and over 70 ounces of water (plus a diet Cheerwine). Dinner is going to be parmesean chicken and steamed yellow squash (and hopefully salad).

Hi, have been busy today, had to run to town, library, Walmart ( natch), gas station, pharmacy--did I say busy.
We got home and planted some strawberry plants I had ordered. Hopefully the weather will be okay for them, they had to be planted or else. I also had ordered one of those tier things --for strawberries and it has three different levels to plant in, if you are familiar with those.
Worked on isetting that up and then went for a 30 min. brisk walk while listening to a good audio book. Now I am off to fix our supper in just a bit. Will be back later on to check in with a yes (unless I completely fall to pieces between now and supper !!)

With our focus on sunshine this month I thought I would mention that the Drs. Eades have an article (http://news.independent.co.uk/uk/health_medical/article2447662.ece)on their main page relating to sunshine. :D
I've linked (hopefully) direct to the article.

I'm a "Yes" for today.
I'm very tired of training.
I'm so very tired of hearing my name called to ask a question.
I'm so very sore as I pulled something in my back getting ready for work this morning.
I'm so very very glad that all of you are doing so good staying on plan.
I'm going to say good night now.
Good Night!!!
DOMS every day...still. why??
Karole

I have a yes for the day also.
Protein at 118
Ecc at 29
Water at 60 oz.
30 min. walking and 30 or so in the garden
Sunshine was iffy--not much of it today but I was out in it for way over an hour.
So all in all, a very good day.
(((((Mary low carb)))))) You had a rough day, but you still made it a yes day. Good for you.

Becca, a drop in fbs of 20 pts is quite an accomplishment, even if you didn't get the hdl moving yet. Notice I say "yet". That's the hardest one for me. Haven't arrived yet. Somebody told me they had changed their's through diet alone, but I though exercise was needed.
Hi, Shadow! Fuzzy, I am.
Karole and Mary, glad you had a good day.
Hawk, nice to see you!
Protein: Yes
Carbs: No, went over
