"It is not because things are difficult that we do not dare,
It is because we do not dare that they are difficult."
*L.P.Sanadhya
I have tried to explain this concept to my youngest son on many occasions. I always have told him not to be afraid of trying and failing but be afraid of not trying, because then you fail. He called several days ago and said, "You know you were right mom". (I mean is that music to a mother's ear or what!!) I decided that I needed to talk with my boss about where I can go in this company!
Well a personal example but not one too far away from any of us. The challenges we might face today eating well or exercising or drinking water or taking your supplements, whatever your personal bugaboos are, are even more difficult if we hever ever try.
So in keeping with that thought today this is what I am going to set out to do and maybe you all have some obstacles that you can add as well...today I am planning a minimum of 60 minutes in the gym with a thorough resistance lifting and cardio time. It is not because I have an extra 60 minutes in the day, it is because I think I move things back on my schedule rather than scheduling to meet my needs. Today as well I am going to make sure that I drink more than 2 litres of water.
Little things, not big challenges, but things I want to challenge myself to do today.
What about you? What little difficulties or challenges can you dare to do today to make your day better, the program stronger for you?
It is because we do not dare that they are difficult."
