Congrats Sherry!
I did work out this weekend - sort of. It would probably be more precise to say I *tried* to work out. I had a bit of a sinus headache for most of the weekend, and when I tried to do my workout, it turned into this pounding monster that was trying to make my head explode. So I did do a full set each of pushups, box squats, chair dips and chair hip lifts, but then I had to stop before my head popped.
Plan for this week is going to be variable. I'm heading up to Chicago for an interview, so I'm not sure what I'll be able to get done. The plan is to workout tonight, workout with a friend in Chicago on Wed, and workout on Saturday. Monday and Saturday I'll be able to do for sure, but Wednesday will depend on how the schedule works out. If I don't workout on Wed, I'll try to get in a workout when I get home on Thursday, but again it will depend on when I get back in town.

Thanks, Mary! :)
I hope the plans to workout turn into reality for you! I'm to the point now that if I DON'T work out, my body says "HEY! LET'S MOVE IT!!!" Shadow SAID it would happen, but I had to see it (for myself!) to believe it! ;)

I don't know if my body is saying "move it" when I don't workout for a while, but I now get into an "anxious" state mentally if I haven't had a chance to get in at least my 3 per week. If I get more than 3 I feel on top of the world! I do occasionally get kind this kind of achy feeling in my muscles that I usually know will be resolved if I get in some exercises to move and stretch the muscles.
I almost forgot - it's been almost a month, so I measured again this weekend. Another 1/4 inch off hips, upper thigh and waist! I'm at the point now where further losses are "true" losses I think, and not just making up the ground I lost while I was in "trial maintenance". My thigh and waist are still 1/2 inch larger than my lowest measurement in 2005, but my hips are 3/4 inch smaller. (Which means my entire rear end has gotten that much smaller :p, so I may actually be at a smaller body fat percentage than I was in 2005. :D)

Hmmm... back from my two days away and no one has posted... Where is everyone?
I've had a successful week so far. Good workout Monday. Actually, really good. I tried out the new location my gym opened. I like it - it has a "serious" weight room that is separate from the rest of the gym, so it has a very dedicated feel. I'm transferring my membership to the new location. (Bonus I didn't know about- with the transfer, I get a free 1 hour training session to introduce me to the new equipment!) They were still putting everything together, so I had to be a bit creative on some of my exercises, but I managed to put together a full routine without too much trouble. I think it shows how much I've learned that I was able to do that! :D
On Wednesday, I worked out with my friend at the Y up in Chicago. I again had to be creative, since the equipment was very different, and I didn't know where the free weights were. But it was a good workout. It was also a little humorous because as we were stretching at the end of our workout, the power suddenly went out due to a thunderstorm. So everyone had to clear out. My friend and I were glad we had ended up there earlier than she usually goes, because if we had gotten there at the usual time, it would have been after the power outage! :p
I also got in some aerobic stuff, and some extra weight lifting, since I travelled via public transportation, so I ended up doing a LOT of walking and carrying of my luggage.
Oh, and for everyone's information, I didn't actually end up having an interview - the reason for my visit - because the company filled the position and notified me at the last minute. Not a big deal, as I already have at least one more interview lined up. :)

Mary, great news about the new gym... whew, sounds wonderful! On a six miler the other day, I went into our OLD gym, which had been nicely revamped, to my surprise. I'm still THINKING about getting a trainer for a month or two... just have to have the $$$.

Sorry ... I often just fill in my original post. It sounds like a great trip and a nice workout.
I am still in the last legs of passing a kidney stone (hopefully this weekend) but find that a workout takes the edge off.
Your walk sounds great Sherry.

Someone at work passed me an article on fitness that covered the "300 Workout" that the Spartan's trained for in the movie.
The regular workout for 300 was
25x Pull-up
50x Deadlift @ 135#
50x Push-up
50x Box Jump @ 24” box
50x Floor Wiper @ 135# (one-count)
50x KB Clean and Press @ 36# (KB must touch floor between reps)
25x Pull-up
300 reps total
....in less than 20 minutes.
Here is a link to some of their training methods (http://joshsgarage.typepad.com/articles/2006/11/frank_miller_mo.html).
There is quite a buzz about it and most Health Magazines have carried something on it and the training methods involved. The Gym Jones (http://www.gymjones.com/knowledge.php?id=35)sight carries a bit more detail.

It is, Randy! Most of it's on a trail that winds through some really ritzy homes, horse properties... lots of trees, birdsong, etc. :)

Got in my Saturday workout, for a total this week of 3 really tough strength workouts, 2 combination aerobic/isometric workouts, plus a 2 mile walk in the park this evening to enjoy the gorgeous weather. A friend is also talking about going to a state park tomorrow. I'll go if my ankle is feeling ok after the walk today.
