I'm interested in making my own protein bars or some other meal replacement concoction. I know shakes are good for this, but they're messy and not as convinient as a bar. I know most, if not all meal replacement bars have corn syrup and soy protein (neither one good for you) and are just a little better than a candy bar (and not half as satisfying).

I've seen one recipe for making a bar w/ natural (unsweetened) nut butter, chocolate no-carb protein, flax meal, sunflower seeds. There is some other stuff that goes in there as well, but I don't have the recipe w/ me. Does anyone have something similar, or any other suggestions for flexible easy meals on the go.

If you look in the recipe section, you'll see two whole threads full of protein bars: one (http://www.proteinpower.com/forum/showthread.php?t=49)and two (http://www.proteinpower.com/forum/showthread.php?t=486). They're in the Breakfast and Meals To Go section, where there's also a thread of trail foods which may have some more ideas.
