i think is know this answer, but if it's ok... i'll ask anyway:

Can you juice on PP? I think the answer is; you can, as long as your carb count does not go over, what it should... and as long as you use fruits & veggies that have a low-moderate carb count (?) Do i have it right?

Also, to any of you guys veggie/juice... and how does it work for you in regards to being PP true?

Thanks so much for your time and expertise...

Happy Holidays all!!

Deke you have the answer right, just count your carbs and make sure you get in your minimum protein and you can do it.

How did the holidays go for you? And did you start on the PP or decide to wait? Don't be shy and stay close to us!!!

Billie, oh Billie...

i didn't want to wait, but i did... and it was a good choice for me.

Oddly, doing my typical OOC (Out Of Control), eating on Christmas Eve, ruined this really great event for me... bloated, uncomfortable, tired... and of course not participating, but assigned an observer's seat on the couch... un-engaged in social conversation and guests... and in a carb-como, watching the tellie... i ruined my night.

Then, on Christmas day, it was a different story... My bro-in-law made fried Turkey (to die for... and contrary to what it sounds like, a lot less fatty than making it in the oven, and REALLY moist, etc etc)... anyway, still recoverying from Christmas Eve, i had turkey, some veggies, and sat down... guess what?... no bloat, to insulin spike, no lethargy.. i had energy, engaged in some great conversation, and social mix & mingling... i serious, and definet change within my body and mind... simply by choosing the right foods. Amazing.

So Billie, and thank you SO much for caring/asking... my elongated point: i didn't start, but i sure am ready. i have two more social engagements before Jan 1, and then the Holidays are behind me.

I'm SO bloody sick of being sick and tired! A good place for me to be,,, It's One-Day-At-A-Time, for me... and while i don't know the future... i am ready for a change.

You're awesome Billie... thank you.

I don't do juice now because the small quantity of juice that fits in my chosen carb allowance is such a pittance I'd rather eat the whole food with its fiber.

that said, I toss my frozen berries in my morning shake all the time and buzz them up - is that juicing or eating the whole fruit - I still call it whole fruit since nothing is separated out like in the juicer - but this is the only time I do that.

Hey Lisa ~

i think my two q's (pre/post workout drink, and, juicing), are about to make a connection...

rather than adding a yogurt (with simple sugar carbs), why not add fresh fruit, that also contains fiber, and blend it...

also, rather than "juice", my veggies and fruit, why not eat them fresh/whole,,, thereby getting some good fiber...

i think i got it (?)

Deke, it's just good to see your still "out there" posting....I got worried about you in the challenge area because I didn't see you. I was giving you a BREAK though til' after the holidays!;) :D

You know something Deke, I really have learned alot from going "off" the plan as well as I have being faithful to it! Watching and listening to my body's signs of "bloating, swollen fingers, ankles, lips and such, and feeling sluggish" and KNOWING what caused it certainly teaches you a great deal that being on THIS PLAN IS exactly what we should be doing for our own good, isn't it!

Word is Deke, the rumour goin' round des' parts is that the January Challenge is "back to basics"! :D WHICH is EXACTLY where we all started in October's boot camp! :D and were we ALL need to restart! :D ~ well, maybe NOT ALL...but ME! :D

Missy ~ i am SO with you on that. Your post was dead-on... the bods signs are there, and when we read them and know the deal... it's wonderful. Knowledge is power.

Thank you very much for remembering me... i did go into hiding, and i'm so caught. What can i say... i'm a realist... i sorta knew the Holidays (at this moment) were a bit too much to take on.

The Jan. Challenge sounds great. I will definetly look for you... and i hope you look for me too... even if i'm hiding  .

Have a wonderful rest of the Holiday Season.... fingers & toes crossed, January will be a productive month.

Thanks Missy!!
