those of you on the Yahoo board might remember I posted a link to a gmap pedometer

it was a little buggy though in the interface and hard to find some US cities. I don't know about other countries as far as its ability to actually land you in the city you request.
Recently, I found that it was implemented at the US Track and Field site
and it is less buggy and the interface is more nicely designed - e.g. city then state - and it accepts zip code. As before, if you have a very very hilly route, YMMV - really! - since this is as the crow flies.
