I ran to and from the gym for my muscle toning class. Had a great workout.

I ran some great hills while I was at my daughters near Seattle. It was so much easier to run at a lower alltitude.

Gator- we do bands in class sometimes, yup, ya always feel that the next day.

Ally, I'm glad you were able to M&S today!

I went to the gym early this AM before hubby left for work..got in an hour on the elliptical. I love this machine...low impact! When I'm at the gym, the hour just flies by when I have my FM tuner tuned to the gym TV stations!

Ally, I use the LifeFitness 9500HR at the gym. It's the crosstrainer kind where you move your arms back and forth on "moving handle bars" instead of either not holding onto anything or just holding onto the frame of the machine.

Ahhhhh Liz, I'll have to check the new ones out when I get back. They had gotten a couple of new ones and I think that might have been what they were, before I left. I tried them and couldn't do it because my legs were too long and it didn't have a big enough stride lol... other than that it would have been great! I love the ellipticals!

Ally, yeah, I have heard other people complain about the stride length not being long enough. However, it's weird, the first time I got on it, I thought of it more like riding a bike (which I love to do) standing up versus let's say, walking on clouds.

As far as your legs being too long, I'm not sure if I can help you there. ;) I'm 5'8" and every once in a while one of my knees might hit a plastic collar on the machine but it never hurts when I do that. You can also try the other kind of elliptical which I think is made by Precor in which you can adjust the elevation and feels more like climbing stairs to me. And within the two types of ellipticals that I'm familiar with, there are different models and makers so It's just finding which one best suits you.

But, do the exercises you enjoy doing best as you'll be more likely to continue them. ;)

Thanks Liz ~ I may try it again once I get home and just pay attention to my form and how I stand. Was also having trouble with it aggrevating my lower back but that is most probably due to the way I was standing or something. lol I'll give it another go when I get home. I like to do different things because I dont wanna get in a rut with my favorite all the time. :D
