Wakey wakey, everybody!
I haven't exercised yet, but I wanted to share a funny story with you. Remember Friday that I didn't walk because I thought Thursday had overtaxed my knee? Well, DH and I were at a party that night with good rock & roll music. He, with his tricky back, asked me, with my tricky knee, out to dance and I FORGOT the knee untill the middle of the first song (we didn't stop). I expected to wake up in the morning a cripple (like he did) but it wasn't any more than stiff. Go figure! That's the power of music on me. ;)
I will walk later today.

Way to go Carol! I think it is the power of Protein as well.:D I still find it amazing how much faster our bodies heal when eating this way.

Well, I'm now officially back to the place where I have to drive somewhere to exercise. The wind gusts have been up to 30 mph, and I'm too weak to fight them when I'm walking outdoors, so Saturday I drove to Wegmans and haunted the supermarket aisles for a half hour.
Today, I'm off to check my PO box on the other side of town, and on the way home stop at GNC to pick up a 5lb canister of protein powder. Just getting from the mall parking lot upstairs to the second floor and halfway down the mall to the GNC may be enough, but if it's not, then I'll walk outdoors tonight when the winds die down a bit.

I agree, Randy.
Thanks, Lita. It's silly and it surprised me.
Way to go, Pat and Liz. BTW, Pat, it's nice to finally put a face to your name. I've been reading your posts forever and I always find them enlightening.
Got my walk in today. See you all tomorrow!:)

Carol - Believe me, with all my aches and pains, I know what a wonderfully freeing feeling it is to be able to 'push the envelope' every once in a while and not suffer greatly for doing so :p!

Well, we can thank Randy for that, Carol...he's the one who first converted that picture to a pixel size small enough to use as an avatar (my shake prize, I believe.)

HI, ya'll,
Way to go, Carol! I've told my DH I was going to give him ballroom dancing lessions some year for his birthday, this might just be the year. I used to love to dance, and what great exercise that would be for both of us.
AM: body flex aerobic/toning tape, abd/obliques/bun workout
Stairs, still going up several times a day, up to three flights at a time in lieu of the elevator. IE: I start on work on a lower floor, like 2 and walk my way up to 8 before the day is over.
Hugs,
Shadow

Claudette - What a great idea :D! And it would be something you would definitely be doing together - what a bonus!
Pat - Well, we do thank Randy for doing your avatar! Of course, it's not nearly as cool as the dominatrix picture he did of me - now if only I really looked that good in leather :p ...

Oh, don't tempt me like that, Shadow...I could get carried away...;)
MamaT and I walked for a LONG time after her doc appt. on Monday. It was just the two of us at the mall...we even shopped a little! By the time we left, I was the one who was worn out and ready to stop!

A true sign you need to get that bootie in gear and start moving it, my friend!
