View Full Version : Protein needs -- any big deal?

I'm curious if you have found protein needs to be a significant factor.

1. Did you calculate your protein requirements or just wing it?
2. Did you ever feel you might be eating too much or too little protein? Why?

Reason I ask... I am suspecting I might not be getting enough protein. One online calc showed 100 grams for me, another showed 130. That's quite a difference. I'll go back and read the Eades way and see if I can calculate it. But anyway... if I occasionally just don't feel peppy, I was wondering if maybe I just have not had enough protein.

PP tells me to eat 81g/day, but after reading one of Dr. Mike's blogs about people losing more on 100g/day, that is what I eat and it works for me.

How much you need depends on how much you exercise (some online calculators don't bother with that).
