Way to go Billie, lets see you get it in and update your entry.

Hawk has had an amazing change in her level of workout over the past few months and it had a direct effect on her weight and indirectly on her lipid profile. Previously on the other board we had several posts on various programs, fitness tools, etc. but no matter what we use, we definitely have to take the time to do it and the payoff can be incredible. Many of these programs/machines promise great reduction in abs yet it is only through overall reduction in fat that we can reduce any area. This little link on an exercise/fitness site still talks in terms of a caloris is a calorie but sums up spot reduction well.

One thing I noticed last year biking on the canal I saw a guy walking to work each day with hand weights (lift/stride) and I thought how odd it looked, walking to work in a shirt and tie with weights, but the next week I began getting dropped off at church with hand weights and walked home doing the same thing. It provided a great workout, and although working mainly on my arms with a repetative curl, it felt great to set them down at home and have your arms feel so "light".

I think one of the main motivations in working out is finding something that is fun and gives you some type of reward. The reward might be as simple as muscle tone, or "earned DOMS" but when your routine gets boring, find something new.

Hey Lynn, how you feeling? Back in the saddle, but take it easy for awhile, no riding those bucking broncos, slow and steady recover from the sinus stuff!

Oh yes indeed :D! Music to the WP's ears!

Well said, Randy!!! Of course, it would be great to be able to just focus on our trouble spots and have magic happen - but it just doesn't happen that way. I was excited to see your link but I couldn't get it to work :(.

Billy, when I finished my cardio and ab work out today, I was grinning from ear to ear. I cannot explain the feeling of accomplishment I get when I am done with a work out. Esspecially when I know I gave it all I've got.
Thank you for your tender loving care though. You might be saving me from myself.
