Advertising
This website is a private website focused on controlled carb nutrition.
Posts which contain advertising, in any form, are not permitted -- whether those posts are from spammers or registered members.
If you mention something you sell in a post in Community Conversations, once, that's fine. More than a reference mention of your business, items, sales and/or services belongs on eBay or some other commercial sellers network.

Commercial messages and SPAM
Commercial messages are considered SPAM and may not be posted on this board. Members are free to post recommendations and resources, and discuss the pros and cons of material and tools relevant to an on-going discussion, as long as the message doesn't read like an obvious advertisement for a product, tool or resource. Commercial messages are any post that promotes enterprises, websites, causes, etc.. Commercial messages will be deleted, and the member ID that posted the commercial message may be deleted at the discretion of the forum's moderating team.

User IDs registered with an invalid email address will be deleted. Email addresses are sent a verification email from the server within minutes of registration, and then automated messages to complete registration for several days in case the message gets caught in a user's SPAM filter. It's pretty easy to spot an invalid email address--the server receives a 'user unknown' or 'fatal error' response. Any email address that rejects the 'confirm your email' message from the server three times will be considered invalid, and deleted. Any email address that is still awaiting confirmation more than seven (7) days after starting the registration process will also be deleted.

Who gets the email from the "Contact Us" link?
"Contact Us" sends an email directly to all of the administrators and moderators. It's intended for people who need to resolve login, registration and forum access problems. This email does not go to the Drs. Eades, and it is not a way to contact them. At this time, the only way to send a contact message to the Drs. Eades is to use the link on the main website, www.proteinpower.com. Be advised: that contact link exists to offer input on their website, and is not a way to ask for medical advice.

Open discussion--and religion, politics and other hot topics
This community thrives on intelligent, open discussion--about Protein Power.
Certain topics, such as religion and politics, are not the focus of this board. Those topics and discussions often generate more heat than light. So in the spirit of energy conservation (emotional energy, that is) we ask that you please confine your posts to the physical and emotional aspects of dieting...and leave the politics and religion for other boards.

Just a reminder:
new users must provide and confirm a valid email address when they register for this forum.

Until the email address provided at registration is confirmed from the email link sent by the server after you complete part 1 of registration, your registration is NOT complete, and you are part of the usergroup 'Users Awaiting Email Confirmation.' Members of this usergroup have no more privileges than unregistered users, guests or anyone who hasn't logged in.

As a user with an unconfirmed email address, you may read the messages in the forums in Getting Started, Working the Plan, Protein Power Living, Born to be Fit, Challenges to Wellness and Let's Cook.

However, unconfirmed users may not post, reply to posts, vote in polls or see the results, use the forum's private messaging system, send email to members who don't display their address, view member profiles, search the forums for a topic or post, or download attached articles outside of the Getting Started forums, which are intended to be an open-access area to introduce people to Protein Power and this forum. They can see the topics but may not read the messages posted in the Break Room forums. Unconfirmed users do not appear in the member list and do not have full member privileges until they confirm their email address.

Inactive members are registered users who completed their registrations and verified their email addresses. However, they have not logged into the board for at least 180 days, which changes their status to an "inactive member."
