Hey all, new poster but not new to the boards as I joined the old board in 2000 but never posted. At 427, I had zero self confidence. I still have my old PP book from 99 with my original numbers in it. I couldn't measure my hips with a tape measure back then (had to use a magic marker where the tape ended) and used my best educated calculations with help from one of the old Mods here for body fat as the book didn't go that high.
I fell off PP for about 2 years and went back to high sugar/high carb. I gained back some of my weight loss, and have since taken that weight off. I am now around 270 or so. My dress size when I started was probably a 58 or so. I remember buying a 52/54 back then that didn't fit. My shirts now are a women's 16. Slacks are a 20.
I have faced some serious health issues the last 2 years and I am here to reclaim my health. Looking forward to the rest of my journey!

Welcome Aboard! Reading is fine but getting to know these great folks on a personal basis--there's nothing better!

Thanks for all your kind words! When I first started reading the boards, Mud Duck (Shawn Zimmerman) had posted his success story. He'd lost 210 pounds in 10 months. It was very inspirational and I believe the Eades had contacted him about using it in one of their future books.
I haven't been on PP the entire time. I lost 50 pounds in the first 6 months and it took me ~ 18 months to lose 150. I gained back about 55 of that, but have since taken that off. I can't attribute those 55 to PP as I have been ill the last 2 years.
My wisdom is limited :D Being ill has taught me that mainstream medicine in the US is a mess. I had a consult with a Naturopath who made the most sense. He asked "how do you feel'? 'What makes you feel better, worse"? "Listen to what your body is telling you". I realize I felt the best on PP and since my body is slowly healing, I wanted to return.
People with a lot to lose have a long journey and we know we will be at it a long time. Telling yourself "I will be thin by Christmas" was good. Christmas of what year was another matter :p The old One Hundred Club thread was a great place to come for support.

Ahhh, Snowpuppy, MudDuck was a great inspiration to MANY... and, now, YOU will be as well, I have no doubt!!!
I love your "Christmas of what year was another matter"! :)
The 100 Club was a good place, but I'm thinking you might want to start a JOURNAL instead... many people read them every day for inspiration, and although they don't always comment, your words not only help you, but them, too...
You are always welcome on any forum, and I would especially like to invite you to the One Day at a Time thread... we share a lot like the old 100 thread, I think...
