“Nothing is worth more than this day.”
Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
I’d like to welcome all of you to the best day of your life. That’s right, this upcoming day holds more promise and potential than you can possibly imagine — more good times than you can ever hope to handle. The next twenty four hours can unveil more magic than you’ve ever experienced and more good fortune than you ever dreamed of possessing. You just need to give it that chance.

None of us should spend even one second of the present rehashing past missteps and prior mistakes. After all, every one of us has made too many blunders and gaffes to count, oh have I! :crybaby: We have gone off plan, not eaten enough protein, too many carbs, no exercise, no breakfast  today is our chance to make our own breaks, to take our life to the next level.

Absolutely nothing is impossible when you give today everything you’ve got. Make time to get in breakfast, to eat enough protein, get to the gym, to participate in the July Challenge, to eat your veggies and fruits and color up your eating, today is the day to give life everything we've got!

Great post Billie.
There is a tape by Jack Christensen called "My Best Day So Far".

When asked "How are you doing?" he often responds, "This is my best day so far."

I've often pondered that since there are many great days in the past and you wonder how "today" could be the "best day" so far, since you haven't even lived it yet. It could even turn out to be a worst day.

I believe that it should be rephrased to be "This could be my best day so far.", but it depends on your outlook I guess, especially when used in conjunction with your quote, “Nothing is worth more than this day.”.

I think it would be worth more if I were in an accident and my family could have the insurance money to pay off bills.

Wow, Billie, you really got me psyched up for the day ! What a great "seize the day" attitude :D! And does this mean you actually ate breakfast (complete with protein) and are going to get that workout in today ;)?

I think it would be worth more if I were in an accident and my family could have the insurance money to pay off bills.

My wife used to ponder this as well. She feels that I am still worth more alive than dead since there are still many years of income down the road. The problem is that every year is one less years salary and the insurance and work payout is staying the same.:paranoid: She has just begun to use spices in her cooking and I think she is slipping something into the food.

Tonight's dinner could be my "worst ever so far"!;)

I haven't been here for a long time but this is quite a thread for me to read as my first one back! I hope no one is serious here about the being worth more dead than alive thing!

Welcome back Petra!

And most certainly CM you are talking metaphorically I imagine, but that is quite a statement so if you need to talk to someone please do. Our lives are all enriched by each other, one day after another it can be pretty darn crummy and we scream for some help but if we prioritize our families like you did than we know for sure that we are essential to their well being. The dang bill collectors be darned (I think I modified that lost word quite a bit! :) )

Billie, what a great thought for the day.

It is a motivating thought to get me back on plan and posting again.

Petra, glad to see you back. I was just thinking about you the other day.

Hugs,
Claudette
