I want to do this. What kind of altitude do I need. I live in the hill country of Texas. And we some 8000′ foot ones to the south. Would that work?

I don’t have a clue. Google ‘wing suit’ and see what you find.

I can’t seem to find more info about where to buy, learn and enjoy this activity. everywhere I go all I find is video which just entices me more. Can you direct me website or store.

I don’t have a clue. There was a video on it in today’s New York Times (requires free registration). Go to wwww.nytimes.com and search for wing suit. Maybe you can find some information that way.

I guess I am one of the reduced life expectancy one’s. I was actually looking into this before your post. Still am. I can’t wait to try it.

Go for it. Let me know what the learning curve is. I kind of doubt that they do dual instruction.

Something like this was used in the second Lara Croft movie, Cradle of Life. Lara and her co-adventurer escape the bad guys at one point by donning these suits and jumping off a tall building. Pretty cool, though.

Actually, that looks like a lot of fun to me. The only worrisome thing about it is the slight decrease in life expectancy.

I’m sure the ‘flying’ is fun; it’s the premature landings I would worry about.

nah, Tahoe’s blue trails were challenging enuff for me! I may venture out onto a black one next time, tho… maybe… probably not…

On second thought, since I work near the top of a very tall building in lower manhattan, maybe I should get one of these suits, you know, just in case the planes come again…

I think you would look great wearing it to the office every day.

They kind of looked like “The Flying Nun” without the funny hat. Perhaps her habit was really her secret to flying…..
